TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS

It will not be a secret if your transmission needs attention. If your transmission is in trouble, getting your car serviced right away is critical to its performance. The transmission not only assists in shifting gears, but it also provides power to the engine for acceleration. The sooner you bring your vehicle in, the quicker we can repair it and prevent further damage. No matter if you have a manual or automatic transmission, we can help. If you start to notice any of the signs listed below, please bring it to Blue Line Automotive for services.

  • A burning smell coming from under the hood

  • Grinding sounds when shifting in a manual

  • Shaking when shifting your automatic

  • Transmission fluid has been leaking

  • Your vehicle is accelerating poorly

ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS

Besides the engine, your car’s battery may be the most integral part of your vehicle. Without a functioning battery, nothing else can work. It’s responsible for powering all electric components of your car including locks, power windows, starter, and headlights. The battery provides energy to the alternator, which then, in turn, distributes power to the rest of your car. Your battery should be routinely checked to make sure it’s functioning correctly. We’ll never sell you parts you don’t need. If your electronics can be repaired, we’ll happily do that for you. If the battery needs replaced, we’ll suggest and install the replacement. Alternators play just as vital of a role in your car as batteries. Batteries only store energy that the alternator creates. If your battery has frequently been dying, it may be an issue with your alternator not supplying enough power. Our technicians will take a look at your car’s entire eclectic system to find the root of the issue. Whether it’s replacing a battery or repairing your alternator, we’ll get you back on the road.

AC/HEATING REPAIRS

As we all know, Florida summers are brutal. Everything is red hot to the touch. Most people don’t think about their car’s air conditioning system until it’s too late. Without proper auto AC maintenance, you may find the next time you turn on the AC you are blasted with a nice refreshing burst of hot air. To make sure your vehicle’s AC system is always working correctly, bring it to Blue Line Automotive. We care about your car or truck as much as you do, putting in the effort and knowledge to keep it running smoothly. Our ASE-certified technicians have years of experience and can handle any issue you may be having with your vehicle. While we prefer to catch the problem before it gets worse, we can also fully rebuild your car or truck’s air conditioning system if it comes to it.

CLUTCH REPAIRS

Each time you press down on the clutch, the pressure plate pushes against a flywheel, joins the transmission to the engine, and enables gears to be changed. Over time, the friction accompanying this repetitive action will wear down the clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, and accompanying gears and bearings. Owners of vehicles with manual transmissions should always use their clutch with care and keep up with clutch maintenance. A clutch check can help extend the life of your clutch. If your vehicle’s clutch ever fails, the transmission will not be able to transfer power from the engine to the wheels. If you still experience grinding and rumbling noises after components have been replaced and a clutch adjustment has been made, a clutch replacement will be required to restore full operation to your transmission and your vehicle.

BRAKE REPAIRS

Bad brakes display warning signs for impending brake maintenance. For example, if your brakes squeal or grind when in use, then your brake pads may be worn and require replacements. If your vehicle pulls to one side when braking, then this may point to worn brakes, a malfunctioning caliper, or low brake fluid in the brake lines. If your brake pedal presses down too easily—also known as “spongy” brakes—then this may be an indication of too much air in the hydraulic brake lines. Sometimes, your vehicle’s electronic diagnostic system will alert you to a potential brake issue by a service indicator light on the dashboard. While these are only some of the most common signs of potential problems with your vehicle’s brake system, noticing these signs of faulty brakes and seeking out a brake service can save you money down the line. Our staff is trained in maintaining and servicing front and rear brake systems and all accompanying brake system components like brake pads, brake shoes, parking brakes, rotors, drums, and hydraulic systems. If you experience any of the above signs or symptoms of bad brakes, like unusual squealing or grinding noises, then contact us online or call us today to have your brakes inspected immediately.
